Welcome to the Sally Prout School of Dancing

The emphasis within the school is placed upon Classical Ballet, which secures strong technique and discipline and produces a solid foundation for all other dance genres. The Classical classes are complimented by Tap and Jazz lessons, which allow a freer use of expression.

Children are accepted from the age of 3 years. At this age Ballet is taught with the emphasis on stories and mime.

Later, pupils are able to attend Tap and Jazz classes. Tap helps to improve rhythm and musicality whilst the non-syllabus Jazz classes allow a freer style of dance expression with the emphasis on fun.

We would like to congratulate all our wonderful dancers on another fantastic show. Not only did they dance beautifully on stage but they were professional and considerate off stage.

Watching how our seniors supported each other and encouraged our younger pupils has made us very proud.

It’s been three months of hard work for three nights on stage but what a three nights it was.

Miss Sally, Miss Louise, Miss Sarah & Miss Jade are beaming with pride.

The Nutcracker 2024. That’s a wrap.

Congratulations to ex pupil Lucy Waine who has been promoted to first artist at the Birmingham Royal Ballet.
